Kennedy - Ludovic - Sir 01

Signed letter - (1919-2009) British journalist and author who wrote several books questioning murder convictions in a number of notable criminal cases. After a long campaign, one of the murderers that had Ludovic had made the subject of a miscarriage of justice was posthumously pardoned.

The scandal was instrumental in the abolition of the death penalty in the UK. Kennedy's book concerning the Evans case was filmed in 1970 entitled "10 Rillington Place" starring John Hurt and Richard Attenborough. Kennedy was also the husband of dancer and actress Moira Shearer.
