Alvarez - Walter - Luis 01

Signed card - (1911–1988) American experimental physicist and inventor, recipient of the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1968 for his contributions to elementary particle physics. As an inventor Alvarez created over 40 patents.

He also worked on the Manhattan Project, by flying in the B-29 The Great Artiste in formation with the Enola Gay, Alvarez measured the blast effect of the first Hiroshima bomb.
