A Hand written letter by Robert Peel (05.02.1788 – 02.07.1850) British Prime Minister 1834-35, 1841-46. one page, Whitehall, 12th November 1825, to Viscount Sydney. Peel informs his correspondent, in full, 'It is His Majesty's Pleasure that Sir John Copley, Attorney General, be permitted to pass on horseback through the Gates of Saint James's and the Green Parks.' With blank integral leaf. Two areas of heavy staining, one, smaller area, just affecting three words of text of the subscription. The main body of text and the signature are unaffected.
